Terms of service
Effective October 28, 2026
These Terms govern access to Sourcefolio’s website, documentation, private workspaces, public project catalog, and MCP service. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you use Sourcefolio for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept them on its behalf.
1. The service
Sourcefolio provides public open-source project references and private workspaces where teams can record project versions, licenses, release information, repository links, and evaluation notes. The MCP integration makes those records available to compatible developer tools.
The service is currently offered as a private beta. We may add, change, restrict, or discontinue features as we learn from participating teams.
2. Eligibility and access
You must be at least 18 and authorized by a participating workspace owner. Access is limited to the workspace, permissions, and beta period assigned to you.
You are responsible for keeping developer keys confidential and for activity performed with your keys. Notify your workspace administrator promptly if a key is lost, shared, or used unexpectedly.
3. Workspace administration
Workspace owners determine who may access their records and whether a developer receives read or write permission. They are responsible for requests to issue, rotate, or revoke keys and for reviewing information their users add.
We may rely on instructions from the workspace owner regarding its account, records, and authorized users.
4. Acceptable use
You may use Sourcefolio for legitimate project evaluation, documentation, and development workflows. You may not attempt unauthorized access, probe another workspace, interfere with service operation, bypass rate or access controls, distribute credentials, or use the service in violation of law.
Do not upload malware, regulated personal data, confidential credentials, or material you lack the right to use. Automated requests must remain reasonable and use credentials issued for that purpose.
5. Your content
Your organization retains its rights in private workspace records. You grant Sourcefolio a limited right to host, process, reproduce, and transmit those records as needed to provide, secure, and support the service.
You represent that your organization has the rights needed to provide its content and instructions. Sourcefolio does not use one team’s private notes to populate another team’s workspace.
6. Public catalog and third-party projects
Public records describe third-party open-source projects and link to repositories or other sources. Those projects are governed by their own licenses and terms, and their owners do not sponsor Sourcefolio merely because they appear in the catalog.
Catalog data may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Sourcefolio does not provide legal advice, certify license compliance, verify software security, or replace an SBOM, vulnerability scanner, or engineering review.
7. Fees and quotes
Commercial workspace access may be covered by a written quote, order form, or separate agreement. Unless that document says otherwise, quoted fees do not include taxes and are based on the access and beta period described there.
No purchase is completed through this website. Contact sales@sourcefolio.io for commercial questions.
8. Sourcefolio materials
Sourcefolio and its licensors retain rights in the service, design, documentation, software, and branding, excluding your content and third-party project materials. These Terms do not grant rights to copy or resell the service.
9. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment. Feedback does not give us ownership of your private workspace records.
10. Confidentiality
Private workspace records are treated as confidential information. This obligation does not cover information that is public without breach, independently developed, rightfully obtained from another source, or required to be disclosed by law.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend access to protect a workspace, respond to misuse, comply with law, address nonpayment under an order form, or end a beta program. You or your workspace owner may stop using Sourcefolio and request key revocation at any time.
Sections that should reasonably survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limits, and responsibilities for prior activity—will continue to apply.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sourcefolio is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.
You remain responsible for validating project information and for decisions made by developers, automated tools, or AI systems that use Sourcefolio records.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sourcefolio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
Sourcefolio’s aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount paid for the affected workspace during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply.
14. General terms
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and applicable commercial documents form the agreement for the service.
These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We may update them by posting a revised version and effective date; material changes may also be provided to workspace owners.
15. Contact
Send security and service-integrity questions to security@sourcefolio.io. Send commercial and contract questions to sales@sourcefolio.io.
